Dobson Ranch has many neighborhoods nestled within what is one of the largest master-planned communities in Arizona. A former cattle ranch, this beautiful desert community has approximately 5,000 homes surrounded by 7 manmade lakes. Residents share 65 acres of common areas replete with 3 major recreation centers, 12 tennis courts, and 4 swimming pools. Pontoon and paddle boats are a fun way to explore the lakes, but swimming and wading in them are prohibited. A 17 acre fishing lake is the jewel of the community park offering some of the best Bass fishing to be found. Tilapia and White Amur fish are utilized to keep algae and weeds in check, helping to maintain the eco balance of the lakes, so should anglers catch these species they are asked to gently return them to the water. In addition, special water habitats have been established for turtles and residents can enjoy watching them as well as the ducks and other water fowl that frequent the lake.
Numerous playgrounds, parks, and groomed lakeside pathways provide residents with ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. And Dobson Ranch Municipal Golf Course, rated the number one course in Arizona by Golf Digest, in its August 2009 issue, is a well maintained mature championship 18-hole course at the core of this vibrant lifestyle community. Should players tire of this course several others are nearby; Fiesta Lakes Golf Course, Shalimar Golf Course, and Riverview Golf Course to name a few.
Dobson Ranch offers a leisurely lifestyle within a dynamic metropolitan area. Nearby employers include Boeing, Intel, and Arizona State University. Great access to US 60 and the 101 Freeway make commuting effortless. Dobson Ranch’s slogan is “The Best Place to Live” and with all that the community has to offer it’s easy to understand why.
